Josh graduated from Hamilton College with a Bachelors degree in Hispanic Studies in 2008.  He lived and studied in Madrid, Spain and  worked  as a high school Spanish teacher at Trinity-Pawling School in Pawling, NY from 2011-2013.  Ashley graduated from State University of New York at Cobleskill in 2004 with a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Business Management.  Burdick Farms, owned by her grandparents; a dairy farm in Patterson, NY;  first helped spark her passion for farming.  She began working on a small, local CSA farm in Patterson in high school on which Josh grew up and also worked. After getting married in 2008, they worked for a vegetable farm in Pawling, NY, selling produce through a farm stand, farmers markets and restaurants. They always dreamed of starting their own farm and were able to realize that dream at the gardens of Tanrackin Farm in Bedford starting in the spring of 2011. In 2012, a new addition to the family, Madison Elisabeth was born!  At the end of the school year,  the family will move to Bedford and Josh will take a job as the Property Manager of Tanrackin Farm and Ashley & Madison will farm and sell produce through the farm stand and a new CSA.
